Mythryll part 1 -a poem

This is the drawing I did to go with the rhyme (below) that I wrote for my children, it is the first of 8 rhymes about a dragoness, Mythryll, and her life long friendship with the lady who raised her. It is my first attempt at drawing a dragon

And Mythryll Listened

It seems, Mythryll, no matter how I try,
I cannot catch the fair ladys' eye.
But if you and I should come up with a scheme,
something along the knightly theme.
If I show to the kingdom a dragon I have tamed,
throughout the land I shall be famed.
The fair ladys' hand I'll ask for in marriage,
and you, Mythryll, can pull the carriage.
Mythryll lunged and swallowed hard,
she'd caught the knight completely off guard.
The lady, hidden, had listened to ths plan,
she did not want to marry this odious man.
Unbeknown to the knight, who was now dead,
Mythryll had hatched under the fair ladys' bed.
Pampered and cared for, until the day,
when, too big, Mythryll had gone her own way.
But the lady was a friend, and would be for life,
Mythryll could not see her become the wife,
of that big headed, lazy, chauvernistic pig,
so Mythryll and the fair lady danced a jig.
